H. Terrell Griffin is a local historian and civil trial lawyer whose books have garnered many awards. He is the award-winning and bestselling author of Mortal Dilemma, the tenth Matt Royal mystery set on the Florida Gulf Coast island of Longboat Key. His latest book, Vindication, is set in The Villages in Central Florida and will be available January 2018.
Leslie Kemp Poole is an award-winning writer and historian and the author of two books, Maitland and Saving Florida: Women's Fight for the Environment in the 20th Century. She is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Rollins College. In 2008, she appeared in the PBS documentary In Marjorie's Wake, which retraced a 1933 trip on the St. Johns River taken by noted author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.
Tony D'Souza is a novelist, journalist, essayist, reviewer, and travel and short story writer with numerous publications in noted periodicals. His third novel, Mule, garnered praise from Vanity Fair, Gawker, Kirkus, Booklist, and Library Journal. Recently, Hunting Lane Films has optioned it as a motion picture. Magic Muffler was named a Distinguished Story in the Stephen King-edited Best American Short Stories anthology. He has received the Florida Gold and Silver Medals for fiction.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Patricia Gussin has practiced medicine and worked in medical research. Gussin's first novel, Shadow of Death, introduced the character Laura Nelson, a medical student in Detroit during the 1967 riots. She won the Florida Book Award in 2015 for After the Fall. Come Home is Gussin's seventh novel.
